About Us

Twelve Years of Placing People Well

Meranti Homes was established in 2013 by a small group of property professionals who felt the Kuala Lumpur rental market was missing something: a service that treated quality of life as the central consideration rather than an afterthought.

From a modest collection of two heritage terrace homes in Chow Kit, the company has grown steadily — always with a preference for depth over breadth. We maintain a focused portfolio that we know thoroughly, rather than a large one we know superficially.

Today, Meranti Homes serves business travellers, relocating families, and international visitors who want their time in Kuala Lumpur to feel considered — not transactional. Our name draws from the Meranti tree, a native Malaysian hardwood known for its durability and quiet presence in the forest canopy.

Pre-Tenancy Inspection

Every property undergoes a structured assessment before each new tenancy. Fixtures, appliances, and furnishings are checked and documented.

Building Security Protocols

All properties are located within managed developments with 24-hour security, CCTV coverage, and access-controlled entry systems.

Responsive Maintenance

Maintenance requests submitted during a tenancy are acknowledged within four business hours and resolved within agreed timeframes depending on priority.

Data Privacy Compliance

Tenant personal data is held in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. We do not share tenant information with third parties without consent.

Clear Tenancy Agreements

All agreements are drawn up in plain language. Tenants are encouraged to read the full document and ask questions before signing.

Meranti Homes operates in accordance with guidelines from Malaysia's Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVAEP).
